Sabah International Convention Centre is owned by Innoprise Corporation Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Yayasan Sabah Group.

The Sabah International Convention Centre’s total function space is 153,197sqm. The complex’s gross built-up is 60,504sqm on a 6-hectare site.

Three Convention Halls, Three Exhibition Halls, Performing Arts Hall, 18 meeting rooms, 1 executive meeting suite, Open Plaza, Other amenities include VIP, VVIP rooms and lounges, media rooms, audio visual rooms, business centre, prayer rooms, performers changing rooms.

The Sabah International Convention Centre is the largest waterfront purpose-built convention, exhibition and entertainment facility in East Malaysia. The multi-functional complex with its well-designed floor plan and extensive pre-function areas is well suited for a wide range of public and private events; conventions and international congress, consumer and tradeshows, public exhibitions and product launches, world-class performing arts events and live music events, exclusive cocktails, wedding banquet and gala dinners, AGM, meetings, seminars and workshops for corporate or government.

Fast growing air connectivity to Kota Kinabalu places Kota Kinabalu International airport the second busiest airport in Malaysia. There are direct flights from Perth, Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, Brunei, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Guang Zhou, Shanghai, Beijing and many more regional hubs. Between the capital city Kuala Lumpur where there are over 25 daily flights to Kota Kinabalu. BKI is the airport code.

Taxi and e-hailing services are available to take you to Kota Kinabalu International Airport, the distance is 11km from the Sabah International Convention Centre.

The main entrance is on Jalan Tanjung Lipat, along the coastal road off Kota Kinabalu city centre.

Accommodating every needs of every visitor is part of what makes the Sabah International Convention Centre the venue of choice for event planners. Wheelchair access is made easy from all public access with designated undercover car parking space. Once inside, the facility is designed to accommodate patrons of all mobility levels with elevators access to every floor and wheelchair-accessible restrooms on all levels.

There are a total of 952 car parking and coach bays are available at the Convention Centre’s multi-tiered undercover car park.

An in-house team of internationally trained culinary experts complemented by food and beverage service professionals will help design memorable cuisines and provide exceptional venue experience for your guests. Ingredients used to create local and continental menus are locally sourced, farm fresh that support local agriculture and promotes sustainability.

The Sabah International Convention Centre is the sole provider of catering in the complex. Our banquet kitchen is Halal certified from The Department of Islamic Development Malaysia.

The reception desk is located on the Level 3 foyer and is open daily from 8am to 10pm.

Yes. The Sabah International Convention Centre offers Wi-Fi service to registered participants attending events at the centre.

Yes. There will be throughout the complex.

A basic room rental includes use of the space for the designated time, as well as tables and chairs set-up in agreed layout style. Standard AV equipment is available, for more information please contact our sales team.

The Sabah International Convention Centre has its own dedicated team of in-house technicians, including AV, lighting & sound technicians, stage managers and riggers. However, if you are conducting presentation from your laptop, please bring your own cables.

Apart from the relevant technical information required to set up your event, for our team to help facilitate a smooth and successful event, please provide a running order for your event that outlines timings and a brief description of what is happening at specific times during the event.

The portable projection screens are 120” x 120” AV(1:1) format

There are a multitude of branding opportunities available to you throughout the building, on LCD screens, pillars, escalators, in the Open Plaza as well as on the Sabah International Convention Centre’s social media platforms.

At the Sabah International Convention Centre, we are happy to assist all our events in any way we can. Please make a request to use the centre’s logos and images in writing, and once approved, the centre will supply you our official corporate logo.

Yes, our lecterns are available to you for speeches and presentations.

Standard A4 size note pads and pencils for meetings and conferences are provided.

Prearranged deliveries to the loading dock are accepted at the Sabah International Convention Centre during office hours, event organiser must be present on site to sign to receive the items.

The loading docks at Sabah International Convention Centre are located at the back of our building with dedicated access. Please remember that prior appointment to arrange for access to the loading dock must be booked with our events team in advance; which includes for all event move ins and move outs may be at an additional cost, where required.

Due to private events that are in the building the Sabah International Convention Centre, the function rooms are not always open to the public. We do offer a public tour program on select days, subject to availability and building closures.

There will be a student tour conducted once every two months, at Sabah International Convention Centre, we try to accommodate group tours for hospitality and tourism students who wish to explore the centre during off-peak period.

The Sabah International Convention Centre welcomes filming requests from production and location managers for a variety of production needs. Please contact our sales department for more information.

At the end of the event, any unclaimed items may be submitted to The Sabah International Convention Centre housekeeping department, which inventories and holds the items for 90 days (with the exception of perishable goods such as food and drinks). Please note that the Sabah International Convention Centre is not responsible for lost or damaged items, it is up to the centre’s discretion to dispose of items.

The nearest shopping malls are Jesselton Duty Free Mall and Suria Sabah Shopping Mall are located nearby, less than a 15-minute walk from the Sabah International Convention Centre.

Established international hotel brands lie within 5km of the Sabah International Convention Centre and a further 12,000 hotel rooms are within a 10km radius.

Our national language is Bahasa Malaysia. However, English is widely spoken as well as indigenous languages; Dusun, Kadazan, Bajau, Murut and others. Common Chinese dialects spoken in Sabah include Mandarin, Hakka and Cantonese.

Certified guide/service/companion animals are always welcome at the Sabah International Convention Centre, and the following does not apply to these animals.
Animals or pets, with the exception of service or companion animals, are generally not permitted in the Sabah International Convention Centre, except when an approved exhibit, pet expos, activity or performance legitimately requires the use of animals. Such animals or pets must be on a leash or in an enclosed pen, and under strict supervision at all times. Owners must take full responsibility for their pets, obtaining all appropriate permits and taking care of all sanitary needs for the animals. Any charges for cleaning/repair will be billed to the client on the master account.
